For the cost of a gallon of gas, you can get yourself one of the best breakfast meals in Cleveland. On the corner of 51st and Detroit sits this gem of a restaurant that packs in the weekend crowd for the daily breakfast specials.
From anywhere between $2.29 and $3.99 you can find yourself with one hell of a plate of food. The basic breakfast special costs $2.29 and gets you two eggs, two pieces of toast, and a nice serving of crispy home fries. Feel the urge to splurge? Add a dollar and get your choice of breakfast meat. If you are feeling crazy and looking to spend, $3.99 will get you the "crazy" breakfast which boasts 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage, and toast. Have fun with that one.
The Big Egg is a diner style spot known for it's breakfast, but also has a large menu with prices just as affordable. Unfortunately I was unable to find a link to the Menu, but in real life, it's shaped like an egg.
The server staff is friendly, quick, and represents what it is to be from Cleveland, hard working.
Parking is plentiful behind the restaurant but get there early on Sunday, after church lets out the place really can fill up.

Edison's Pub In Tremont Feels Like Home
After a brisk walk through the Cleveland "pre-winter" cold front I found myself sitting at Edison's Pub for a craft brew and maybe a few PBR's to follow. Edison's is one of the few places around town I can find my favorite Rogue Ales that I enjoyed so much living in Portland. Sitting down in Edison's Pub out of the cold and rain gave me a feeling that reminded me of being back home, a feeling of home.
This local Tremont Pub is the spot you can go when the weather is wild, winds are blowing, and snow is falling. Come on it, kick the elements off your shoes and enjoy a large variety of bottled beer from all over the place. The decor reminds you of an inventors paradise with prototypes of past technology hung on the walls with pride. Strolling down to the basement bathrooms you'll notice a caged room holding antique wonders from the past. Make sure you look and try not to touch.
Edison's has fresh popped popcorn and the smell strikes your nose instantly as you walk in the front door. If the popcorn isn't enough to fill your craving, Edison's Pizza resides just next door. You can order a pizza and bring it over to the bar to go along with that large variety of craft beers.
